Q. I'm 14 and he's 13. He's my first Boyfriend and have no clue what to do for him/get him for Christmas. He's real into Cars and computers and I'm real into Music and art. I have eight dollars to my name and I'd rather make him something really cool but I don't know what. A. Well seeing as how you are rather young and without a lot of money, a nice home made gift would be very thoughtful and cute. I had a girlfriend at that age too and she made me a little collage of pictures of us, probably about the size of a normal piece of paper. She put pics of us together from various occasions and got it laminated. It was simple and very sweet and I still have it to this day. You could also include a card with a nice note or even a little poem. If your not into this, then maybe just a photo album of you guys or a scrapbook. Good luck!

Q. As you all know christmas is coming up and all my friends get each other gifts so i have to get gifts for about 10 people, what are some cute gift ideas, and what stores should i look in? The girls are all either 14 or 15. Thanks.

Just get something simple and cheap, a mirror with a picture in it, a picture of you and the friend, something that will let them know you care. If they are your real friends they won't care about the price.

I need some really good ideas and decorations for a Bridal shower! Ideas?
Q. I am throwing my cousin an Around the Clock Bridal Shower and I really need some good ideas on food ideas, decorations and games and gift ideas. I have never really thrown a bridal shower by myself before and I want this to be special. The shower is going to be in April sometime. Please help me everyone really likes this theme and I have never really had a themed party before thanks!

A. Generally speaking I'm against Around the Clock bridal showers because some people think it is tacky to request gifts of any kind beyond a registry. That said, I know many people who have had these, and they've been successful. I just wanted you to know that it goes against some of the etiquette books.
On to food and the rest...
My favorite place to buy shower food (and I do love to throw showers) is Costco. They have great food in bulk and it looks very nice! Get yourself an inexpensive glass three tier server from Walmart... seriously... they are so cute and looks so Martha Stuart-ish. Get the frozen mini cream puffs at Costco along with three giant boxes of berries... strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries... mix a little sugar in it and serve with real whipped cream. It's delicious! Also get two or three nice BIG pieces of cheese and serve them on a cute wooden cutting board along with a ciabatta, foccacia, and Carr's water crackers. Fill in your three tiered server with other delicious food that strikes your fancy.
Don't forget something chocolate, coffee, tea, and a cold drink. I like to take frozen juice concentrate--- melt it and make it with sparkling water. Voila! You've made a spritzer.
Last but not least... you need a cake. I think a cute two tiered cake with clock decorations would be adorable.
Decorations should be tasteful and simple. A beautiful bouquet of flowers that pick up the colors of the fruit and cake would be wonderful. Then you could always just get a large bunch of helium balloons to add color around if you like balloons. I would use only "real things" like real dishes and cloth table cloths. The only paper at ALL would be napkins if you wish.
Make a nice mix of great music and have it playing on low the whole time.... like "At Last," "Girl from Ipanema," and Sondre Lerche's "To be Surprised."
Do a quiz game where you have secret questions about the fiance (even the fiancee doesn't know that you asked) and then give a prize to the person who guessed the right answer. Then next have a quiz about the bride. Keep it cute, fun and tasteful!

A. For a Sweet Sixteen, I would go with something girly, probably pink (unless she hates pink) such as a bathrobe from Aerie, Victoria's Secret/PINK, or Target. You can also do cute bedroom slippers. Bath and Body Works may have some of those items too.
