Q. My parents' 35th wedding anniversary is coming up. They live in Europe but around that time they'll be visiting me, in California. I want to make it a special day for them and was wondering if you have any good ideas for gifts, decorations, activities, dinner, etc. Of course I don't mind spending some money on this special day but I do always like to be thrifty and save :-)

A. If you have any other siblings have them pitch in also and do a nice cheap painting of them or there wedding picture. some places they are 150 dollars depending on what size you want to get them. shop around online. Put together a nice colleague for them of all there old pictures. Have a nice dinner party and have some music. Invite people over if you want or rent a nice hall for them. Take them to a nice restaurant have some of there close friends come and visit. Good luck and it is nice to hear that some kids do still appreciate there parents. you don't hear about people doing things like that anymore except for the Cosby's. And when I said kids I mean children that came from the marriage not saying that you are under age or anything.
romantic ideas for a trip to disney?
Q. ive been with my significant other for just a few months and weve decided to take this spur of the moment trip to orlando as hes never been before. weve been bickering alot lately so i definitely feel like this trip should be the most perfect trip ever. what can i do to sweep him off his feet and remind him why we're in love?
A. My husband and I have spent both our honeymoon and an anniversary there and we found it to be great. By far the big romantic things we do there is to have once nice sit down meal a day (get the meal plan!). After a long day of having fun like kids in the park a quiet sit down meal with or without a glass of wine can be wonderful. We usually try to pick the nicer places at Epcot (example - coral reef). Of course a fun character meal for lunch or breakfast can be just as great.
We also always try to pick a gift that both of us can enjoy, look back and remember the trip by. Our faves are going into the art shop and picking out a drawing of our favorite characters. They will draw it for you and add any names or dates. For example on our honeymoon I had them put our names and wedding date. Believe it or not it only cost $35.00.
Other than that make sure you get tons of photos. A late night dip in the pool can also be fun since Disney pools are open 24 hours a day.

Q. My husband is 28 yrs old and we have a 5yr old and unfortantly Fathers Day and our 5 yr anniversary is on the same day and I am all out of gift thoughts. He unfortantly is still into the video games as well as movies, but he is also and outdoorsy type of person. any suggestions??
