Now, as a massive Timesplitters fan myself, I believe the biggest symbol of the series to be the trademark Monkey, so if I were to be receiving a Timesplitters gift, maybe a plush version of that iconic Monkey would be a step in the right direction. While i have no links for you as I'm far, far to lazy to check, maybe type into eBay or Amazon "Timesplitters Monkey Plush" and see what results you get.

My work is having a white elephant gift exchange tomorrow, and I'm having difficulty thinking of a gift idea. I'm leaning towards a painting that my sis-in-law painted and gave to me last year at Christmas. It's of Bambi from the Disney movie. a picture board is a great idea- I did one for my moms 60th party and she had a great time showing off her pics to everyone! Go get one of those tri-fold display boards and put tons of pics of her throughout the years on it- or you can make a slide show and play it on someones laptop computer- whichever works better for you. For decorating I just used my moms favorite colors- pink, purple, and silver accents- we had fake flower petals scattered down the center of the tables and a set of pretty candles next to a vase of lillies. I also found small travel candles for 50 cents and had one of those at each table setting as a party favor for the guests. We had balloon arrangements all over the room and hung streamers and some birthday banners too. I had also found on Ebay a book all about the year she was born and we had that on the picture table so people could look through that also and I found a Life magazine from th week she was born on there too (I gave that as a gift to her and she loved it).
so as far as decorations- go with something that you think she would like, maybe vases of her favorite flowers all over, or make it a theme relating to her favorite hobby and decorate along those lines (gardening, bingo, quilting- whatever!) This is a good time also to get some family pictures taken so make sure to gather up the whole group before people start to leave to get some good family shots.

Let me help you with this. The general point of an anniversary gift is to make sure that it has MEANING. You don't want to get something superficial (like a gift certificate, for instance) on this occasion.

Here's some ideas:

(This will allow the bodysuits
to dry without them having to be moved.) When the shower is over...offer to wash the custom bodysuits for the new parents, making sure to follow the directions on the fabric paint bottles. For large baby showers....purchase a wide range of sizes so these creations will be a part of baby's first full year!

Suggestion: Cover the table being used with a plastic drop cloth covered with an

Letters to The Baby

As the guests walk to the table (or designated location)where the gifts are being placed.....have a special station set up on the side of the gift table. At this station have cute baby themed stationary laid out with some nice pens. Beside the stationary have a card out asking each guest to take a few moments to write a note to the new baby. When the guests have finished writing their notes, have a tray or basket provided to place them in. Once all the guests have written their notes....the hostess can then choose one or two, at random, to be chosen for a prize (this could be your shower's door prize). Have each of your guests throw in a set amount of money to wager on the day and time baby will be born. Record those figures to reference on the big day! You may even want to take email addresses and email everyone their pick after the shower. So I'm looking for cheap ideas of stuff to make.For example, one roommate already told us she's making us these bags filled with corn kernels (I think) and u can heat them up in the microwave and they stay warm. I'd make little personalized gifts for each one. Try making gift baskets with candy, fruit and maybe a small gift card to Starbucks for each one. Or if you'd prefer to sew, you could make a bag and put the gifts in there. You can also substitute your own baking for the candy to save more money. Just try and create a color scheme for each basket so it looks like a unified product at the end. If you choose the right pieces, the final result can look a lot more expensive than the individual pieces.

Oh, I just remembered on the most useful gifts I've gotten. A hot water pot. I asked for a tea kettle for the stove top but got an electric hot water pot instead. I was unsure about it at first but now I use it everyday. It' a little more than $50 on Amazon but you could probably find one cheaper at a store.

Baked goods are liked by everyone. You could make up a couple of batches of cookies, get cute plates at the dollar store, wrap in colored cellophane, tie with a colored ribbon and a candy cane and you have nice gifts for your family and friends, without too much expense.

Dude, Japanese people in my experience love their merchandise. You live in an iconic area so I'm sure you can get something reflective of where you live. Caps,shirts(can be dangerous as you don't know their size), calenders or even images of where you live. You could try some 49ers merchandise. Japanese also love icons of the world so maybe a model of the golden gate bridge may be ideal or a snow globe of it.
I'm going to stay at a host family too and from Australia. Bringing boomerangs, koala pushes and wombat in a can(it's just a stuffed wombat in soup can, just bringing some Aussie humor).
