Other homemade Christmas gift basket ideas?

I'm making homemade Christmas gift baskets this year. And I'm planning on making oreo bon bons, peppermint bark, puppy chow, and (possibly) chocolate covered pretzel sticks. But I'm wanting to also make something that's not sweet. Any ideas of something that is easy to make and not costly that I can add to the baskets? Thanks! =D

Ok, so, i know i'm starting this a little early, but.. anyway.. our 7 month anniversary is December 24th, and i want to make him a huge gift basket. His family never really had a big christmas..so he never really got a lot of gifts... but my family, on the other hand, has always had a huge christmas. and we are engaged now, and this will be our first christmas together, and i want to make him a HUGE gift basket! Any ideas on what i could put in it? (sadly, we live about an hour away from each other, and don't get to see each other too often.maybe once a month, ish.) any ideas would be great!! thanks!!

I agree with the other answers. Your gift basket should include things that he likes, things that he can use, and gift cards could never hurt, especially the ones from department stores. He could probably get the things he needs with the gift cards, or maybe for the first time, he'll be able to use them to get gifts for others, and have a better Christmas. Definitely include something that represents your union, perhaps a picture of the both of you.

Ok my boyfriend and I started Christmas shopping and we got most of the gifts but need some ideas for some people... We still need my sisters and her boyfriends gift but want to get them something that would be for both of them also my brother and his girlfriend we would also like to get them something that would be for the both of them... We also have to get my 14 month old nephew something but don't know what toys are good for his age and everyone is getting him toys so we weren't sure if we should get him something other then toys... What are some good Christmas gift ideas for a 70 yr old man?

My grandfather may not make it another year and we want to make this Christmas extra special for him. He used to be very into tools and building, however now his strength is down and he can't do those things.

He enjoys old country westerns, but has the majority of them, and he enjoys card games/dominoes, however has the basics needed for those as well.

Any suggestions would be great. Thanks!
I should mention his energy levels in general are pretty low, so learning/activities are sometimes difficult.

For the man who has everything...best thing you can do is take the time to spend with him. How about a few "gift cards"? They might say "This entitles the bearer to one lunch with the person of his choice"...."this card entitles the bearer to..." You get the idea. If a person is facing his own immortality then the last thing he wants is stuff...he wants companionship with those he loves.

Maybe you could find out from his friends or ask one of your friends to find out what else he likes.

Some ideas would be a baseball hat or shirt. You could always buy him a $10 gift card for a sports store or restaurant.

Help Help!! Christmas gift idea for kids?

Im a single mother and want to start a tradition with my boys that on Christmas Eve they get to open 1 special present with mommy, and I want that special present to be meaningful, my boys are both under 2 so right now they wouldn't understand the meaning behind the gift yet. I thought about a special ornament every year and then them getting to hang it on the tree, but I can't think of anything else that I can give them every year and make kind of a collection of the same things that would be special. Any ideas of special gifts you give your kids every year?

One of the most amazing gifts i ever recieved from my best friend (who lives in another country from me) was a calender. For every month, she had stuck a picture of either her, me, or us together. It was for my 17th birthday back in 2010 and it was for 2011, but even today, in 2012, it hangs on my wall near my bed on a picture of the words 'i love *then my name is written here* that wasnt designated to a month. That calender means SO much to me. Maybe something similar for your friend?

It could be something that is distictive/only made in your area along with something that will show you cared to learn about their hobbies/interests. Ask your boyfriend if they like something special.

I need help with Thank You gift ideas?

So I have these amazing people who gave me a ride to church every Sunday for two months until I got my drivers license. And I am so grateful to them for not only giving me a ride but not making me feel guilty and uncomfortable for having to ask them for a ride all the time.

And then there are these three people who were an immense help to my transition to the church community. I wouldn't have been able to get used to it if it were not for these people.

Lastly, there was a bike ride event at our church community. I didn't want to go because I haven't ridden a bike in a while, but church people encouraged me to go anyways and told me that my body will remember it. I went there, and realized I cannot ride a bike at all :( These two people from church stayed and gave me a bike lesson while everyone else came back from the bike ride. I didn't ask them for help but they volunteered to stay to help me.

So I have so many people to thank for at church.. But I don't know what to give them as a gift.
I don't want to give the same gift to everyone, but I don't want the gifts to become too pricey either..
I am planning to give them gifts along with a thank you card. I would like to hear your ideas.

They probably don't want gifts from you. They do things for other people because that's the kind of people they are. Do unto others.......... They are following God's command that we help each other. If you feel that you MUST do something to thank them, then make a donation to the church or to a local charity in their names. There are quite a few people involved here, it would cost you a lot of money to buy each one a personal gift. If you make one donation to a charity and put all of their names on the donation card, they would probably be very happy. That way you are doing what they did for you - you are passing the help on to someone who needs it. "Paying it forward" is what that is called. God's people have done something for you, now you should pay it forward to someone else who needs the help.

It really depends on their personalities.
I have a 13-year-old sister; she's really into growing up now. She wants to wear makeup and get clothes and carry purses and wear jewelry. Unless this 12 year old girl is still in the tomboy stage, I recommend something like that.
As for the 9 year old boy, you can't lose with video games. Does he have a video game console? if not, WalMart has this awesome game that's sort of like Guitar Hero, except you just hook it up to your television, no game console needed. I'm sure they have other games like this besides the Guitar one. If he has a game console, I would recommend going somewhere like Best Buy and asking what the best selling video games are right now.
