Need gift ideas for a woman in her 90s.?

Q. For Christmas I have to shop for my 90+ year old aunt... and 2 of my husbands aunts who are in their 70s. Besides hat/scarf/gloves, lotions and perfumes...any other ideas?

A. False jewelry
Especially medallions or scarf clasp with some design that you can attribute a meaning. ( You should write what on your card). Or some kind of ornament. A fancy medicine box...

An auntie got married again recently.
I bought her two silver (? ) storks and added the fact that storks marry for life, live long, look after their kids and olds, and that in the old times they were considered a kind of good charm, and all folks arranged nests for them on their chimneys. And wished very good luck, and may they get old together etc... She was enchanted.

If they have grandchildren they love, arrange for a print of that on pillow covers. It may be a nice surprise.

I Have A Question About A Movie, I Believe Was From The Mid 90's?
Q. I'm Looking To Find The Name Of This Movie...It Was About A Family, That Had 2 Daughters. The One Daughter Was A Ballerina (She Was Young), And I Believe Had Drowned. Her Spirit/Soul Came Back As A White Owl, Angel...Any Ideas??

A. They Watch (1993)

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108324/

A man (Bergin) that is unable to express himself emotionally, loses his eleven year old daughter in a car accident after missing her performance in a ballet due to his over-ambitious job dictates. Gradually his guilt becomes worse, threatening his relationship with his wife (Mahaffey) and second, younger daughter. He 'stumbles' onto a blind woman (Redgrave) who has the gift of being a seer, as well her country home is occupied with the lost souls of children, including the man's daughter, and he finds himself having to work through his feelings in this setting.

Gift Question for "Older" couple getting Married?
Q. One of my close friends has finally, after 44 years of being single, decided to get married!

This is his first, as is his wife-to-be. Neither have any children. They are both successful career people who are in need of nothing. They already have homes, cars, furnishings you get the point. The wedding is going to be small, only about 90 people. It is a Catholic wedding with a reception dinner following at a resort hotel.

I have not been to weddings in years with people that are not kids just starting out.

My question, what would be a customary and normal gift to give to this couple?

One last point, I am one of two Best Men in the wedding party So I dont know if that matters one way or another.

A. having been married with a huge shower where the women got me all linens (table, bed, towels), silverware, crystal, formal china, even this one, it's so great: a TOOLBOX with everything that i still use, then, at the wedding, nothing less than $100 in each couple's envelope (this was in 1980, so today, it's $250), which helps pay for the wedding and honeymoon,

since you are in the wedding party, you MOST DEFINITELY give a gift of distinction and expense.

why don't you make their life after marriage a life of leisure?

1. paid moving and packing expenses;
2. paid maid services (make sure he or she doesn't steal);
3. paid dry cleaning and laundry/ironing services for a year;
4. water filtration system for their kitchen along with a set of very thick, old fashioned, large water glasses (nice after a heated night together);
5. gift certificates for professional masseuses to come by with their tables and give them massages (no, no escort service: certified massage therapists);
6. paid services at the beauty parlor and barber;
7. to the groom: gift certificate for 12 months of flower deliveries;
8. their invitation, framed professionally, tasteful decorations included in the frame--ask the professional framer for ideas;
9. always, cash is a good idea, but combine it with something else, such as putting twenties, tens, fives, fifties, etc., into different picture frames: a combo gift.

that is what i would like if i were to marry again at my age: i would like for my life to be easy. i'd especially like that if i work full time. how nice it would be to come home to an immaculate house without worrying about anything but a tip--i think you get my drift.

have a lot of fun at the wedding--you have a very special role!

Good christmas gifts for a twelve year old?
Q. I'm twelve and christmas is coming and I need some ideas. I play xbox and I play m rated games. If there's nudity I can't have it, but if it is only partial nudity I can have it. I like computers and I'm getting a netbook so id like to know the best sompany tghat does netbooks. If there are any cool USEFULL xbox accesories (not the dumb keyboard) id like to know, and if ther is any other fun thing a twelve year old should have let mo know. Thanks!

A. send a letter to the President asking for the economy to get better so that one day when you get older, you know you'll have a job to buy your own stuff. Christmas is about giving, but your asking. You don't even know what is ahead of you. Those games you play and the clothes you wear are made by people in slavery. Yes, you've read about it in your history book, it still happens. Google Human Trafficking. This is where kids younger than you are taken from their families and placed in mines to dig for diamonds.... They don't get paid, they live to be fed maybe a little bit less than a loaf of bread a week. Guess what they do to women? Google it. Quit asking for presents, start asking for change on a regular basis. Better yet, you might have an ipod.... Google "Foxconn" the people who work to make your ipod get paid $150/month. Now, ask your parents if $150 is enough to buy groceries for your family for a whole month. Now, think, there are more things you need to buy otherthan food to survive. You need a home, electricity, water, a bed, etc. This is the modern age of slavery & you are supporting this type of slavery when you buy these products. They are not the only ones. 90% of the stuff in your room are made using the same slavery techniques.
