I've got one that could be interesting...send him a gift certificate for a website that you would buy undergarments or bedtime wear (or you could get a prepaid Visa card, and he could shop anywhere on the web). Give him your measurements and have him pick out some things which he would like to see you in at bedtime...could be Victoria's Secret or a website that specializes in PJs. Have a friend take some tasteful pictures of you wearing what he picked out. It would be a great present and something completely unique, which he had a hand in making. Q. This is for my 6 yr old daughter. I have a budgetof $30 (the rest of the $ is being spent on her party). I dont want to get her the typical (doll, playset, or princess thing), she loves that stuff, but has plenty already. Your question gave me a really cool idea about what I'm going to do for my little cousin (who is turning six Feb 3 and is a TOTAL girly girl)!

Buy a solid colored tank top for her, and a solid shirt or jumper that would fit one of her dolls. Then go to a craft store and buy some cute patches or iron-ons, some sparkly beads or sequins and a needle and thread so she can "design" the shirts herself, and her and one of her dolls can have a matching outfit!

My grandma taught me how to sew when I was 5 or 6, and it is a skill I still love to use today. And what little girl wouldn't love to feel like a fashion designer?!?!

Well, he's 14 so, i wouldn't go with a toy, because he's probably to old for that.(I'm a 14 year old girl). You could get him a tee shirt, or maybe a soccer ball? You could get him a box of chocolates? When I done secret Santa I got a guy and our limit was 15$. I mean I prefer to give ppl money and giftcards as presents. Only reason is that way I don't get them the wrong thing, they have to option now to get what they want and I don't have to worry about getting someone a crappy bad gift.

I prefer myself to get cash/cards too because that way I can get what I want, and I don't have to worry about if a person gave me the receipt(spelling) too.

I agree with YOU, and don't care if it is a lazy way. I think some of the absolutely horrible gifts I've gotten over the years didn't take any thought either. Give me the gift card. No more "stuff" to sit around my house to be dusted. No more clothes that don't fit. No more crap bought on television or Internet sales that is junk and doesn't work (remember those knives that could also be used as bath towels? Just TERRIBLE). Gift cards, the way for men to go.

Well, I don't really know your boyfriend, but since you do, think about:
-What he likes to do in his spare time (One of my friends likes to play video games so I got her a GameStop gift card)
-Where he likes to eat (so maybe you could take him out to a restaurant or get him a Starbucks gift card)
-What he's wanted for a long time/recently (Kinda obvious, but when you two went somewhere has he ever talked about wanting to get a jacket or something?)

I realize this is pretty general. You could also always ask him directly. Usually, boys won't mind if it's not a surprise, but if you do ask him, add your own small touch. Or, you could just buy him a gift card (I know, so many gift cards in this answer!) and I'm sure he won't mind because of your mom being in the hospital. Sorry about your mom, and good luck :)
