What is a good gift to give to a Holocaust survivor?
Q. She is a woman who is coming to my class for my Holocaust presentation. I haven't met or talked to her yet, but she must be over 70 years old. (Don't think that 70 is old because Chuck Norris as 1 year to go for the big seven-oh)

Please do not think that I am being thoughtless, rude, sarcastic or improper. My wife and I just watched a show in which they interviewed Holocaust survivors. One of the FIRST things they were denied was their shoes.
Be polite; be respectful, but take the shoes off of your feet and give them to her. Ask her to think of you when she sees them. Tell her this will give you one half of one percent understanding of what happened to THEM. Oh, and give her YOUR FAVORITE shoes.
