What age is too old to be giving homemade gifts as Christmas presents?
Q. My parents have always given my grandparents presents as a family. Usually mom buys the present, but my father and I help pick it out. This year I bought presents for a lot of people, but like usual did not buy anything individually for my grandparents as I assumed we would be doing the same as we had every other year. This is not the case. My parents are livid that I bought my boyfriend, school secret santa and boyfriends younger siblings presents, but not my own grandparents.
It is now a week before Christmas and I only have $20 left. I need to come up with a quick present that doesn't look thrown together or cheap.
My idea was to get the glass ornaments with a smooth shiny finished for my two grandmothers and personalize them with elegant stickers, satin ribbon and glitter. A. Oh goodness... I am 56 years old and haven't found the age yet that says I am too old to give homemade gifts. I think the age limit must be at least 200. I make all of my gifts every year and if I bought a gift and gave it, my loved ones would be hurt and insulted.

What is an appropriate gift for someone who has hit a hole-in-one?
Q. My husband hit a hole-in-one this past summer. I was hoping to buy him a Christmas present recongnising this accomplishment. But since I'm not a golfer myself, I have no idea what that should be. Thanks for any suggestions you can give.
A. My brother just bought me a trophy that is shaped like a # One....you can put the ball into the top part of the trophy. It has my name and date engraved on a plate on the bottom....Really nice gift!!

VIDEO GAMES
A lot of teenage guys love video games. The whole video game business has several gift options for you to choose from. You don't always have to buy a random video game. You can get a brand new gaming system that he has been talking about forever, new controllers, gaming chairs, magazine subscriptions and more. If he likes video games, you can't go wrong with a gaming gift.
Sporting Goods
If this 15-year-old guy happens to play a sport, there's nothing he'll love more than some fresh new sporting gear. Football players might love a new pair of gloves or cleats, basketball players might want a new basketball or pair of sneakers, and golfers will most likely love a new driver or set of irons. If those are too expensive, try getting some new golf balls or a golf bag.
Movies
You can almost never go wrong with movies. You don't always have to be simple and buy a DVD. You can get him a subscription to Netflix or a Blockbuster gift card. You can even get him a gift card that will be accepted at many major movie theaters around.
