What are some gift ideas to bring for sponsored kids in Guatemala?

A. The teen girls here like the same things the teen girls like anywhere. That should be easy. Clothing is big, especially Hollister and American Eagle. You'll be a hero if you produce a lightweight jacket or t-shirt from one of those brands.

4 year olds are about the same. Candy, especially suckers seem to be the thing here for little kids. They call them bon-bons. Little boys here also like toy cars and trucks, the little girls like dolls.

Do you have any other ideas of stuff that I can bring as gifts?

A. Definitely bring American things. They are participating in this exchange program because they want to learn more about your culture.

Their suggestions are a good start for culturally U.S. things. You might also look for puzzles that relate to the U.S. (map style, or photos of landmarks). You could bring a band t-shirt and CD for a band that's popular in your area. Candy is another thing that tends to be fairly region specific, so things like Sour Patch Kids and Swedish fish may be different than what they have there.

Q. Hey, I need to get a present for a 16-year-old boy who is really into Mustangs, Halo Wars, and the Military channel. He also plays Airsoft and is pretty into computers and other tech stuff. I have zero knowledge of most of these areas, so is there anything someone like that would really appreciate but might not already have? Thanks a lot!

A. the new call of duty modern warfare for his game counsel. it has wars and guns in it. can't go wrong and he won't have it yet because i don't think it comes out until next week.

What would be good stocking stuffer ideas for a 16 year old boy?

Q. this year my siblings and i are stuffing each others stockings instead of getting larger gifts. my younger brother is 16 and i'm stumped on what to get him. he plays golf so i can get him golf balls/tees but i'm not sure what else. any ideas?

A. gift card (5.00 or 10.00) for McDonald's..if he has an ipod gift card for i-tunes..i'm not sure where u live but in my state u can go into any larger operated grocery store and they have rows of gift cards for everyplace & everything..u can make him feel really big and get a prepaid Visa or Mastercard, works just like a regular credit card but once he's used up the amount on it he can recharge it.
If he shaves maybe disposable men's razors? If he drives a gas card...small bottles of cologne/after shave...men's shower gel...socks..take 'em out of the pack and roll 'em up...I can actually think of tons of things to stuff a stocking with...hopefully the few suggestions will help...=0)
