What are good stocking stuffers for an 11 year old boy? ?

Q. I know it's too soon but I'm trying to get started on Christmas shopping. I do stocking stuffers for my kids every year and I've been doing it since they were born. They look forward to those little things. My teenage daughter is so easy to buy for but my 11 year old son? He into video games, electronics and gadgets. I used to put little toys but he's outgrown them . Any ideas?

A. Definitely something like rechargeable batteries and a charger if he's into portable gaming. Also, some magazines, like for x-box 360 or a guide to a game he wants for christmas. Gift certificates are also pretty awesome, like GameStop or Microsoft points, Itunes cards...
Even novelty stuff like a fart machine would probably make him happy, although stuff like that may drive you crazy.

What are some good gift ideas for a precocious 11 year old boy for between 20-40 dollars?

Q. He's very smart, good at science, and has enough video games! He splits time between his mom and dad's homes and they tend to buy him a lot of things so finding something he doesn't already have and also wants is tricky.

He likes computers, tennis, and is quite clever for his age but doesn't really like to read and I'm sick of buying him books for Christmas only to have them gather dust.

A. Well here's an idea - and I did it for my nephew last year. I asked my sister for photos of some of his favorite things - trips, animals, friends. Then I found this awesome website called http://www.ipixxl.com. I edited the photos how I wanted them - then I had several large removable vinyl stickers made for him. This way he can decorate his room with them - when he gets tired of them he can move them around because they peel right off. Maybe one day he will want to take them with him to his own home to share with his children. I think they are a very unique keepsake that lasts forever. Just an idea though!
