great gift ideas for 13 yr old girl image

I would like to give a 13 yr old girl a Christmas gift but i don't know what to give. She had a father but, He doesn't live with live her and her mom. Her father doesn't really take good care of her. Her mother is my mom's cousin, I am trying to give her a gift that will have a positive impact on her life. By the way I am a guy so this is why I am asking what could be a good gift for her.

13 year old girls are full of secrets. Most love to draw or write. How bout a blank writing or sketch book, some pens or colored pencils? It will encourage her to put her ideas down, to draw and to dream, to write poetry and her feelings.
i was a young girl once myself and my older brother gave me something similar for my birthday. i am now an artist and somewhat of a writer too. Anything that encourages her to express herself would be a nice gift and there are some beautiful blank books out there.
Another, and if you have more to spend, might be a gift of experience. Take her to a live stage show. If the Nutcracker is playing in your area or you are near a large city, that's a great choice. See what is playing as there is almost always some Christmas program somewhere.
She would feel grown up and i promise that she would remember a night like that all of her life.
