Q. I have no idea what to get for her since I'm 4 years younger than her and really bad with gift ideas.
She doesn't need/want makeup, she's a bit on the tomboy side with a pinch of girly stuff. Her favorite colors are blue and pink, she has an iPhone, xBox, Macbook air, etc. Anything $65 and below I will buy. Since she got me something expensive.

Can you please provide me with some gift ideas to celebrate my girlfriend's mother belated 65th birthday?
Q. We want to do something different and creative and not just play to her hobbies. After a while the same gifts giving ideas get boring.
A. How about a night out in a posh restaurant together with her partner or friend.Throw an expensive bottle of wine in with the deal. Or perhaps if she loves gardens, a rose plant or silver birch tree.
What are some good hand made gifts for Christmas?
Q. I am on a really short budget this year and I need some ideas on either buying affordable gifts or ideas on making some. My Christmas list is over 65 people. My husbands side and my side. I really dont have to buy for everyone but the families buy for my family.
A. Make a list of people who are a priority, people like your immediate family, and your in laws.
Then make separate list of people who come in second, like cousins and nephews.
Make a third list of everybody else, most likely will include work buddies, and all others who do not apply to the first two lists made.
Now you need to make 3 different types of gifts. For the people on the 3rd list, thats simple. Head to your grocery store and pick up an assortment of chocolates and bulk candies. Create bundles or small baskets of goodies for these people with a short, personalized card.
For your cousins and others on the 2nd list, a framed picture of you and your family (this could also be done for anybody on the First List) or a $5 or $10 gift certificate for a local coffee shop. Include this in a normal sized personalized card. To add a little extra, tape small packages of candies onto the card. Chocolates can also work.
For your immediate family (Mom, Dad, Brothers, Sisters, and In-laws) a picture in a nice $10 frame is ideal. If you would like to go a little further you could purchase plain frames from the closest Dollar Store and decorate them.
You dont need to spend a lot of money on younger children, and you will save a ton of money by giving group'd people the same gift. This also helps to avoid favoritism!

Q. Every year my boyfriends family plays a game of dirty santa for the adults. This year I would like to come up with a really original and unique gift. The ages are from 17-65 male and female, it has to be somethign that they could use or would want. Just to give you an idea of last years most original gift, someone froze a container of de-icer in a 5 gallon bucket. The price range is under $50. Thank you!
