Q. This is for my 6 yr old daughter. I have a budgetof $30 (the rest of the $ is being spent on her party). I dont want to get her the typical (doll, playset, or princess thing), she loves that stuff, but has plenty already. I would like something more unique,.........a musical instrument, or art project...............
It needs to be something new, I can get in person, ( bday is this thursday, so I dont have time to order anything).

Your question gave me a really cool idea about what I'm going to do for my little cousin (who is turning six Feb 3 and is a TOTAL girly girl)!
Buy a solid colored tank top for her, and a solid shirt or jumper that would fit one of her dolls. Then go to a craft store and buy some cute patches or iron-ons, some sparkly beads or sequins and a needle and thread so she can "design" the shirts herself, and her and one of her dolls can have a matching outfit!
My grandma taught me how to sew when I was 5 or 6, and it is a skill I still love to use today. And what little girl wouldn't love to feel like a fashion designer?!?!
