What would be a great gift for someone who embroiders?

Q. I'd like to find a great gift for someone whose hobby is embroidering. I'd like to spend $40 to $50. Are there any embroidery people out there who can give me some ideas? Thanks.
Thanks for all of the great suggestions! Patty Ann, you asked some great questions. I don't know this person very well -- she is my child's teacher, and is a wonderful teacher! I'd love to get her something very special. Also, she will retire next year, so will have more time for her hobby.

A. Most people who embroider are pretty picky about what they spend their time sewing. I know I always need embroidery floss. If you know the person really well, and know what they would like, you can always get a book of patterns and some fabric. A few extra skeins of floss wouldn't hurt either. If you have a needlework store near by, it would be 7th heaven for her if you gave her a gift certificate to that store, and she could go crazy. I love using a pair of small, very pointy scissors when I work. Do you know if she has a pair? There are products that keep your work from fraying, speciality threads, special needles, embroidery hoops in all sizes, rulers, counters, you name it. If you get to a store you will also find many items that are ready made and have places for embroidery on them. They are nice gifts.
I've got so much stuff here that I used for embroidering. I wish I could share it with you!
