Suggestions on a pre wedding dinner party?

Q. My friends are getting married in a few weeks in Jamaica. We can't attend. Since they don't want any Shags, bachelorette or bachelor parties before, thought it would be a great idea to go out to dinner at a restaurant in the bar section, invite our close friends and have dinner and drinks! I was wondering if we should get them a gift or just celebrate and the save the gift for the wedding gift. Or maybe pay for their dinner? The other thing I was wondering should we plan fun games about wedding or just have a social dinner and some drinks? Any ideas???

A. What's a bit confusing here is that they don't want these types of pre-wedding events, yet you seem to be planning one. Or am I reading it wrong? What you're describing sounds like a combined bach/bachelorette party.

I'd honestly just save the gift for the wedding. Another alternative might be for you and your SO to take them out to dinner if you want, but I wouldn't organize an event if they don't want one.

Is a cayman islands vacation affordable?
Q. well my parents kinda gave me a great opportunity, since i'm going to be graduating, they want to go on a family vacation somewhere and are letting me choose the place [within reason]. Is a cayman Islands vacation affordable and a good vacation? Please provide as much detail as you want the moreinfo the better =)

A. its a truly beautiful island and i'm sure you will thoroughly enjoy a family vacation there.(although i'm partial to Jamaica) i use bookit.com for Caribbean travel even after checking all the travel sites they always get me the best deals go and put in your info to get an accurate idea on prices and things to do on the island. congratulations on graduating and what a great gift! as an experienced traveler to the Carribean the cayman island are expensive so choose carefully and try to get an all inclusive package-have fun

I met some great people in Montego Bay Jamaica and I would love to get them gifts for when I return. ?
Q. Do you think the younger workers at the resort would like MP3 players. They really seemed to like my Ipod. I can't afford Ipods for them all but can get some lower cost MP3s. My concern is would they be able to charge them when the batteries run low? Anyone famailar with Jamaica could you please answer. Thanks

A. That's a good idea if they are young people they will love the MP3s nothing to us likes music and when you can download and travel with it all the better and they are very expensive here yes they would be able to change them and even get batteries to replace if those go bad this is so taught full.
