Christmas Gift List....?

Olivia

Hello People,
Christmas is on it's way, and I'm getting into the spirit a bit early...
I need to get everyone gifts, of course, but I don't know what, and no one will give me a straight answer.
Could you guess what they would want based on these descriptions, please?
Brother: 9 years old, loves everything technological, bought his own ipad, flatscreen tv, google tv, ipod, psvita, etc...
Stepmother-33, loves gardening and movies
Dad-44, loves everything technological, movies, and cooking. I was thinking of getting him slippers, but he just got a pair...
Mom-46, realtor, always grumpy, loves reading the news...
Cousin-boy, 14, loves video games, tennis, biking, and technology...
Cousin-boy, 14 (they're twins), loves video games, tennis, biking, and a spy tv show...(it's called Nikita, if you know what that is.)
Aunt-49, loves dogs, jewlery making, gardening...
Uncle, 50 (i think), loves sports and cooking...
Aunt, 48, editor for the denver post, loves long walks, and her dogs
Uncle, 50 (i think), loves biking, handyman work, works as an english teacher at a highhschool...
Grandma, 87, pack rat. loves dogs...
Grandpa, 85, recently diagnosed with stage 4 prostate cancer, (this is very likely my last christmas :-( with him ever), he loves to do things. literally, he walks everywhere, built his own boat, put a solar roof on his house, etc...I want to get him something amazing, but i don't have any ideas...a simple idea could help me come up with something.
Grandma, 79, lives in portugal, makes her own jam, very good at bruising herself accidentally, has tons of fruit bushes...
Me- I don't really know what I want, but an idea for the list would be great. I'm 14, Have 4 dogs, love art, dance, and music, love to read (harry potter is my FAVORITE!!), i'm going to be an architect and/or lawyer when I grow up and want to go to harvard...

An idea or two for each person would be awesome!! I'll answer your questions if you link to them :-)
please give serious and thought out answers.
Thank You!!!!
<3,
OB

I need good "Thank you" gift ideas for my Realtor.?

arcy

Our realtors worked extremely hard to sell our old house and get our new house. I need a good gift idea for a thank you gift to show my appreciation. (One for girl and one for boy).

Thank you!

Answer
The best gift is to refer friends to them. Other than that it depends what you want to spend and if you noticed anything they could use.

A gift card to a gas station would be appreciated by anyone. Something to help them with their job like a new Thomas Guild or GPS system.

I have it, a beautiful leather daytimer appointment book. they might have organizers on hand held devices but everyone can use something to hold scraps of paper.

Is it traditional to give gifts to realtor or buyer of my house at closing?

onearth

My house sale closes tomorrow Sep 15. I am the seller. Is it traditional to give gifts to anyone? There are 2 realtors, the buyer's agent who brought the buyer and my agent who handled the sale. And there's the lawyer. And then there's the buyer of course.

Answer
My realtor gave me a gift at the closing of each one of my houses, a gift certificate to a local garden store, some hand crafted topiaries.
If you wish you could give her a nominal gift, especially if you like the job she did, but it isn't expected. Much better would be a letter to her company, explaining why you were a satasfied customer.
A cute idea for the buyer is to have something in the house the day they move in, a card, some candy or cookies, if it is an older house, some pictures of the way it was.

Q. I have done home parties with good success, but I need more customers! Any ideas on some cheap ways to market my company? Please help! I have candles, lotions, shower gels and air fresheners.

Answer
Join your local Chamber of Commerce.

Tie in to a local restaurant. Offer gift packs with gift certificates.

Contact local realtors. Provide a sample of products for them to give new home owners.

Visit spas and massage parlors (no, not the dirty kind :) ). Show your products there. Same with tanning salons and beauty supply stores.

Talk to your favorite gym. Perhaps leave some information in the locker room.

What about a jewelry store? Women always like to look around in theose places.

What about a custom-card maker that you could enclose small packets to sample.

Look for individuals like yourself... it will be harder to work with large companies, but smaller, one-horse businesses might be willing to help you out.

What is the best way to market a moving and storage comapany? Get leads?

Andrew

I have a moving company in central Florida, we offer very quality service. I have a lack of business and need some qualified leads, I already advertise and send emails to Realtors as well as faxes to their offices. What do you feel the best way to market my services would be?

Answer
You must offer some kind of incentive to the realtors in order for them to promote your service. It could be gift cards etc. I would strongly recommend that you don't send any faxes. Fax-spam is very annoying because it costs them paper.
Another important question is if you follow the CAN-SPAM laws in your emails. Also if you are sending your emails through a reputable email software company, whether you send HTML or Plain text emails.
If you do your email marketing the right away, you can possibly get some leads.
Another idea is to hire a freelancer to make cold calls to people who have listed their properties on real estate websites. The problem with this idea is that they will not be moving right away. You need to find people who are moving soon.
