I have "adopted" a child for christmas this yr. She is 7 years old and wrote a very neat well written letter onnly asking for clothes for christmas. I would like to get her a toy(s) as well. I want to spend 30 dollars on some play things, and I was wondering if it would be good to get one larger thing or a stocking full of small toys and such??? Also, any suggestions for either would be appreciated.

my daughter is 6 1/2 and LOVES: hanna montana, high school musical and camp rock. she also likes play make up, board games, barbies, puzzles, books, nail polish, learning books.

I think any of this would be great for the little girl. I liked the stocking idea.

I am Hispanic, and recently moved to an all American neighborhood. They are all very friendly and they welcome us to their neighborhood. My next door neighbor has a daughter that will be 7 this weekend, and I do not what to get her as a gift. Please I need your help.

As for the first post, Harry Potter is waaaay over the reading level of all but the very brightest seven year olds... when I was seven, I could read on a fifth grade level, and I've read all of the Harry Potter books now, and I think they would have been over my head at seven. But other books might be a great idea!

Girls at seven are starting to appreciate cash, so a (small) cash gift is fun for them. I generally don't like to give cash only... it's fun for the girls to receive something like a new purse or wallet (they run $5-10 for a little girl) with a ten dollar bill inside.
