What is an Appropriate gift for a boy about 8-10 years old?

Q. What is an Appropriate gift for a boy about 8-10 years old?

Nothing too expensive please.Just a Small gift as a kind gesture. For Instance, if it is a girl, I would probably get her Stickers or cute stationary sets.
Any ideas as for boys?

A. Baseball cards, Star War cards, a pkg. of 3 hot wheel cars(you can get at Dollar General ) for a $1.00, he might like stickers too, but for a boy,like(sports),motorcycles, cars,etc.You can get all of the above at Dollar General, and it won't cost that much.
