Q. I need a gift idea for my moms birthday. My budget is about $120. She loves reading books,like westerns and stuff. She loves gardening too. Any suggestions cause I'm drawing blanks. Her birthday is two weeks after Valentine's day so flowers and candy are out cause I just sent her some.

How can I present the hockey tickets I got for my gfs birthday?
Q. I got my girlfriend hockey tickets for her birthday, but I don't just want to hand them to her.. I want to make it a fun and creative way to give them to her sence they're not all of her gift.. Any ideas? My mom said to just put them in a card and give them to her.. But I want to be more creative! Any help? :)

A. You could buy her something that you know she will not like. So if she hates to read than you could get her a book. Than you could hide the tickets inside the book. When she opens it up you could tell her to look inside the page you hid the tickets in.

A. Organise a spa day for her and a few of her close friends, then send them to a salon and get their hair and make up done and then send them out for dinner. This might be a bit expensive, so you could split it with brothers, sisters and your dad maybe?

Get her a photo album and print all her favourite photos that she hasn't got printed yet.
A surprise party with all of her friends and family, you can do this for fairly cheap if you organise it properly.
If she's got a band or artist that she loves, buy her tickets to see their concert.
If she reads, get her loads of books that you think she'd like.
If she's into fashion, you could hire a stylist and send her shopping with a personal stylist for a day
You could also send her on a shopping trip to New York, Paris, Milan or London, depending on where you live.

Q. My best friend in the whole world is turning 14 in a bit. She recently lost her mom and I want to get her something AMAZING! But Im the kind of person who doesnt give presents easily. I want a good gift idea for someone like her and a unique way to give it to her. Thanks!
A. I don't know if this is in with young teens these days, but when I was around that age I know Chicken Soup for the Teenage Soul was a really great book to read through tough times. It covers a lot of topics and issues that teenagers face including death and many other things. So even after coping with her loss she can reference back to the book to deal with things such as puberty, dating, peer pressure, stress of school, family, friends... I mean just lots of things you go through at that age. I strongly beleive that this book might help her. There are also more version of the book each starting with "chicken soup for the(insert specific topic here)" but I would say go with chicken soup for the teenage soul. It'll be perfect for her.
