Is this a romantic Valentine's gift idea?

Ok, so there's this particular someone I like (we're not in a relationship yet but we've been on a few dates) and I'm wondering if this gift idea would be appropriate.

She likes wine and just so happens my relatives own a vineyard so I was planning on giving her a bottle of their wine. Simple. But she doesn't have any wine glasses so I'd thought I'd throw in a few (she offered me wine in a tumbler once and I thought it looked pretty tacky).

So my idea would be to give:
wine
wine glasses
some flowers
a card

Do you think I should throw in a box of chocolates or are the above things enough? Romantic? Cliched? Too old-fashioned? Let me know.

The wine and the glasses with some flowers and a card are perfect. Just remember that it is not only what you give her but more importantly the ambiance of the moment. Remember to make sure that your appearance is tip top for the occasion. Also pick a romantic location. Get out some candles and get an extra bottle of wine so that you can enjoy one that evening and still have one for her to take home for hopefully another romantic evening with you.

I know it is super early to be asking help on christmas gifts, however, I'm currently out of the country, and my fiance is back home, so it seems I have to do things well in advance than normal. I want to get her something totally romantic and unique. I'm thinking something unique to her culture. She's half Filipino. I'm not all that familiar with the culture, so maybe if anyone has ideas on how they express romance in that culture or possibly a romantic expression. I would like to do something with jewelry I think, and tie that in with her culture. If anyone could please help me out with how Filipino men express romance to women. An expression, a website...anything. Also, if you know of any unique jewelry places. Possibly something with unique sayings, etc.

Your idea is great. My boyfriend got me a jewelry box with 'I Love You' on it. It was silver and had pearls around it. Maybe there is a Filipino jewelry box you could inscribe something sweet on. Jewelry is fabulous, too!

Dinner in the space needle is always lovely and something to experience. Right around there are fun museums and even an amusement park which could be fun and romantic. You two could pick up lunch at Pike's Place Market (bread, cheese, wine, flowers even!!) and then go have lunch in a park on the water (I recommend Myrtle Edwards Park - that's where my fiance proposed to me!). A ferry ride, all snuggled up together. They even have dinner cruises on the Puget sound which are amazing!!

As for gifts...there really are endless possibilities. I think it is always nice to get someone something they love but may think too extravagant or unnecessary to get themselves (gifts should be frivolous!) What does she like to do and go from there! (Ex. Does she love to cook, do a joint cooking class - romantic and soooo sweet)

I would suggest for the guy that you put in some aftershave or a sport related thing (e.g a pack of golf balls if he likes golf) and maybe his and her mugs. Also, his and her towels and face clothes can be cute. And don't forget, A large expensive bar of chocolate for both of them

A. Take the 30 minute ferry ride from Edmonds to Kingston, and then head for the Olympic Peninsula and spend a romantic day/night in Port Townsend, Sequim, or Port Angeles. There are wonderful restaurants on the water in all three towns and interesting things to keep you busy when you're not having meals.
