Does anyone have any creative ideas for giving a gift certificate to someone?

I got my boyfriend a gift certificate to a hunting/fishing store for his birthday because I don't know exactly what he needs, so now he can pick it out himself. But i need to come up with a creative way to give it to him. Any ideas? :)

How much should I spend on a restaurant gift certificate for a boss?

It's the holiday time and my bf wants to get his boss something since he knows he will be getting a nice holiday bonus and just got a raise. We were thinking a gift certificate to a nice-ish restaurant for about $100. That is about the amount it would cost for a drink or two, entrees, and appetizers at this restaurant. Is that too much//too little? Should the gift cert idea be scrapped altogether? It's slightly awkward to have your boss know the amount you spent on them but at the same time he's getting a bunch of cash from his boss for the holiday so maybe it's not so weird after all. Thanks!
