My friend is getting married, she is in her late twenties, in college and likes makeup. I don't know much about her fiancee, what should I get her for an engagement gift? Any ideas?

You need to get something for both of them, not just for your friend.

A nice bottle of wine or champagne is always appropriate. You could also get a wedding planning book. Maybe a gift card for some money off on a photography session. You could also get gift cards to a restaurant or massage... plan a date night for them together.
