Ideas For Community Service?

Bob

Alright, so I recently got accepted into the NJHS (National Junior Honor Society) at my intermediate school, I'm a 7th grader. At the end of every quarter, it is required for us to turn in our service hour sheet, which informs the Advisor what we did over the given period of time. Any ideas on what kind of things I can do for my service hours? they suggested helping out at the library, don't really remember anything else. Thanks for your time.

Answer
t's a tough job to find a good gift for your boss. But help has arrived!

Step 1
Talk to your boss's spouse or significant other if possible. Find out her favorite type of food. Ask whether there is a hobby or pastime she is passionate about. This will help you choose a restaurant and a gift. Your boss's assistant or secretary might also be a good source of information.

Step 2
Take up a collection for a group gift, card, decoration and the boss's lunch. Designate someone to shop for the gift and card, someone to buy and set up decorations, someone to plan the lunch and someone else to order and pick up the cake.

Step 3
Decide whether to whisk your boss off to lunch at a favorite restaurant or have something brought in. If you have room in a conference or other area, a lunch at the office will be more intimate than a noisy restaurant. However, if your boss is the type that always eats at his desk, heading out to eat might make it a more special occasion.

Step 4
Decorate with lots of streamers and balloons. If you are not able to find a specific "Happy Bosses' Day" banner, a great big "Thanks!" sign will do the trick. Find a gift that suits your boss's personality or corresponds with her hobbies. If you are not able to discern what she might like, there are many general "boss" gifts you can purchase at gift shops or online.

Step 5
Give each staff member a notecard at least a week before Boss Day. Have them anonymously write something they appreciate about your boss. It can be a specific memory or just a general attribute. Have one or two people read the cards aloud during lunch.
