How can I find who sent a completely anonymous gift through Amazon?

A friend of mine received an anonymous gift purchased from his Wish List on Amazon.com. The total was over $2300, and the invoice had no actual name on it... just Amazon.

He doesn't want to open it until he knows who sent it or why... any ideas?

I have a bunch of gift card with like 1-4 bucks on each. I was wondering if theres a way to get this in cash or combine it and use it somehow? i dont just wanna make 1 dollar purchases, any ideas?

Next time you go to buy something, let the cashier know you have them and hand them over. He/she will scan through and you pay the remainder. I do it often.
