So at my job were having a secret Santa thing. The guy they picked for me, I know nothing about. We have conversations here and there but I don't really know his personality and what he likes! We have to stay under 10 bucks but I don't want to get just any old traditionally gift card, tie, soap or cologne, kinda want to think outside the box but still keep it professional. Any ideas!!!???

I am planning a Holiday party for about 20-30 people, the ages are diverse, mostly adults that are 40 years and older, but some kids under 10 and a few teenagers. I need some good ideas that wont break the bank.

Each year, we have an "elephant" party. Everyone brings 1-2 inexpensive gifts-either serious or gag. We roll dice, and if you get a double, you choose. You can either choose from the pile, or steal from someone. The key is NOT to open the gifts until the game is over. At the end, when all of the gifts are gone, we have a 2 min. speed round--throw the dice, doubles, you steal...or pass if you don't get doubles. At the end, you open your gifts.

Truly hilarious, because people start stealing gifts and decide what they think they are....and of course, never are! We hit the dollar store, and the clearance bins. We've gotten great picture frames, boxes of candy, dominoes, umbrellas, calendars...but the best fun of all is just playing the game!

what cute fun gift could i give a person in my flute section?

i'm in marching band and every year we do a secret santa drawing for christmas. What could i give my person? she plays flute and loves music. i need a gift that is under $10 but fun. i don't want to get her something useful for a flute, more like accesories pertaining to music like slippers or socks, or please comment some places/items for ideas! thanks!

I'm basically looking for items that you would associate with someone getting older, like denture cream. The items have to be small-ish, and under $10. I need about 15-20 items, or one for each guest to purchase.

I went to Party City to get supplies to make gifts for a baby shower and I was amazed at all the things they had for retirement parties.

Hats, t-shirts, bottle bottom glasses, dinnerware (plates, napkins, cups, etc.), balloons,

Also you can buy plastic dentures, those denture cleaning tablets, key chains, wall plaques, t-shirts, balloons, balloon holders, plastic visors, readers (glasses) and embossing pens at a dollar store.

If you find something cool use the gold or silver pens to write some "insulting" phrase on it. You can also emboss glitter onto any object that can withstand the heat gun (or your blowdryer). If you buy t-shirts from the dollar store or at Michael's, AC Moore etc, you can get t-shirt printer paper for about ten bucks and write up something specific to the individual(s), print it on a regular printer and iron it on. You get 8-10 sheets and if you only use half you will have 16-20 iron on sheets. They have iron on patches with expressions on them too. (old fart, he's my old fart, old farting together, lol).

The flip flops are great as are big hawaiian shirts, big baggy boxers or baggy pants with an elastic waste (long or short).

Also check out oriental trading. They are an inexpensive place to get different party theme items from.

I am hosting a meeting out of state for a group of health and information technology professionals. I wanted to get San Francisco/Bay Area specific gifts for this group with a budget of $10 per person. Anyone have any ideas? This group really likes cookies, coffees, teas, chocolates, and anything edible. Since it'll be out of state, the gift needs to be non-perishable. Thanks for any suggestions you have.

Something specific to San Francisco would be great. Ghirardelli Chocolates, a key chain with a cable car, chocolate dipped fortune cookies from China Town, or a loaf of San Francisco sour dough bread and some suggestions that might work.
