im looking for gifts to give to my 3 bffs who are all girls. 2 of them are kinda girly(u know fashion,makeup, etc) and the other one is kinda sporty but kinda likes girly things too. i'll probably get small but really good gifts(for a reasonable price) for them but i dont know what?? any ideas?

For your boyfriend...

How about a promise ring? Or if you're not into that sort of thing, just a casual ring for him to wear. Have something nice engraved on the inside of the band. Like both of your initials together, or the date you started going out, or maybe a lyric from your relationship song. If he's not into rings, maybe a dog tag necklace, a bracelet, or a watch? Either way you go, jewelry can be very special when engraved.

You could get him a nice picture frame with your best picture together in it. The store Things Remembered has some lovely frames.

Another great idea would be to do the 365 things I love about you. That's one reason per every day of the year! It's very romantic and a perfect way to express your feelings towards someone. You write out the reasons either in a book, or on small pieces of paper which you can put in a nice box or jar. If you can come up with that amount of reasons - then you truly love that person. Personally, I LOVE this idea and am starting on doing it for my boyfriend.

Make him up a stocking as a side present. Include boxers, cologne, candy, and various other small gifts. If you're in a sexual relationship and feel comfortable, you could add some sexy lingerie at the bottom. Also, you can make home-made coupons for various things of your choice.

Is this a lame gift idea for my girlfriend?

My girlfriend and I have been together for over five years. I have given her many pieces of jewelry as well as other common and not so common gift ideas. We have been doing it long distance for the last 1.5 years which kind of plays into the theme of the gift I was thinking of giving her for xmas this year. The gift is a personalized throw pillow on one side it is a cute picture of both of my dogs on my family's boat with their tiny dog life preservers on. On the back it is a good picture of us both on a trip Cancun this Summer, in text underneath it says "Cancun, 2012" and centered underneath that "I love you". The pillow is a light pink color that fits in with the color of her bed. I was thinking this would be nice since we do not currently live together as it has pictures of both us together and my dogs that she loves. I am worried however that this is a lame gift... I am also planning on getting her some chocolates or something along those lines and obviously a card.

What do you think, lame idea or a nice idea?

So I'm looking for cheap ideas of stuff to make.For example, one roommate already told us she's making us these bags filled with corn kernels (I think) and u can heat them up in the microwave and they stay warm. So something like that. I can do basic sewing, crocheting, and can cook. Thanks for the help.

I'd make little personalized gifts for each one. Try making gift baskets with candy, fruit and maybe a small gift card to Starbucks for each one. Or if you'd prefer to sew, you could make a bag and put the gifts in there. You can also substitute your own baking for the candy to save more money. Just try and create a color scheme for each basket so it looks like a unified product at the end. If you choose the right pieces, the final result can look a lot more expensive than the individual pieces.

If you need inspiration, try looking at some online gift basket sites. I've bought a lot of items from Yossi's Sweet House - http://www.yossissweethouse.com - and they're really great. Even if you can't afford to buy gifts from them, you can still get design ideas from there.

If you're a decent cook you could bake cookies, make a collage of family pictures, if you are really crafty, make ornaments for them or even do an afghan or even cap and scarf sets such as you can do one for your father in the colors of his favorite NFL team or something.
