Gift ideas for 13 year old?

James

He likes video games but he despises gun games like call of duty. He already has an IPad and a phone. The consoles he has are 3ds and his laptop but he says he doesn't want a new one.
He doesn't really care for clothes I don't know what to get him.

Answer
Since he doesn't like gun games so much and he has a 3ds then a Wii U could be a good idea. It has tons of games and is far cheaper than a xbox one or ps4. Although it's a home console that doesn't mean your son needs to hog the tv either due to features like off-tv-play where you can simply play the game entirely on the gamepad. It has great 1st party games such as The legend of Zelda, The Windwaker HD and Super Mario 3d World as well as lots of fun 3rd party games like Rayman Legends. Also if you are gamer yourself, but prefer more mature games then it can forfill your needs as well, with games like Zombie U or Ninja Gaiden 3. Wii u also comes loaded with entertainment features as well so you can watch all your favourite movies and tv shows through netflix, lovefilm, hulu plus or amazon instant video! Also if you live in America then Nintendo's tvii service is available to you to, soon to be available elsewhere as well. Those are the reasons I think you should buy a Wii U for your son!

I have to make holiday gifts with a group of 3 year olds?

NA

I recently took on responsibility of a group of 3 year olds at the childcare center that I work at. The former teacher was asked to step down for several reasons.

During December, there are MANY holidays that are celebrated - and I am to have the children make a holiday gift.

My first choice is having the children decorate babyfood jars with glitter and putting a tea-lite candle in them. Its something that all religions can appreshiate.

I was also thinking of having the children use Silver and Gold crayons, paint, and glitter - whatever they choose - on white paper. I would laminate the picture and put a cute holiday or gift poem on the back - and put a string through it for hanging.(The child care center's december colors - and winter colors)

Let me know what you think about both ideas.

Answer
these are great ideas. i like the second one best out of them. another suggestion to do is
1use sissors to pre cut constuction paper into doghnut shapes. (big enough for a small picture.)
2have the children decorate the frame with sparkles, paint, whatever they'd like.
3 take a picture of each of the children and put it into the frame
4 tie a ribbon on top of the frame so it can be hung
5 your frame would be done!

My 11 year old nephew will be spending 3 weeks in Europe this summer. He is going as part of a school ambassador program (he lives in Hawaii) and will be visiting several countries. I would like to get him some cool gifts that can be utilized on his trip. I want to avoid the normal cliche travel stuff like neck pillows and fold up blankets LOL. Thanks in advance for any help!

I need a GREAT gift idea for a 3 year old autistic boy. Any ideas?

Amber

My son was invited to a birthday party for a 3 year old boy. I guess they would be cousins. Anyway, he is autistic and has a mom that is very into his therapy etc... I am looking for gift ideas with links maybe? I would like to find something that will make her go wow, he could really use this. I am not really looking for toys like trucks etc... I am looking for toys that are learning toys.

Have any ideas?

Answer
Honestly I would ask the mother, its better to find out what type of gifts she would like for her son, especially she is very proactive in her son's therapy.

Saying that, you could look as sensory toys, educational toys, musical toys/instruments, communication games, hand puppets, wooden puzzles etc.

The toys need to be sturdy to take bit of rough handling, be colourful and stimulating enough for them be interested in playing with the toy, also make sure there are not to many parts to cause frustration, and certainly no small pieces (choking). Be careful with books unless they are thick chunk cardboard or fabric type as they wont tear/rip.

Or you could give a gift voucher to Toy-R -Us, Target etc, which means the mother can purchase something to her liking for her sons needs.
