Well, you can't go wrong with anything that is either going to make guys like us more and or makes our looking beautiful easier.
For example, bumpits...faster than teasing our hair, and yet makes us look supposedly look pretty and therefore get's us more attention by attractive guys.
Here's a really good idea for you... hair flowers. They're easy, fast, fun, and the make us prettier and attract guys with they're sweet girlyness. If your making these things, just get some simple hair clips and you can find some pretty realistic fake flowers at the craft store. Just clip them into your hair and boom! You look amazing! ^^ Trust me, it'll work. Especially if the flowers look real. Have all different flowers, personally I've always wanted a bird of paradise, but Hibiscus is the most popular, lilly's, morning glory, anything ornate, colorful and or beautiful is a good bet.
And, for the guys, tell them it's a really cute gift for their girlfriend or wife. Actually, in Hawaii the flower's placement convieved a girls social standing. One side for single, and the other for married ^^

A. You should get friendship bracelets for both of you! I just got a pair of beautifully well made bracelets today from a leather bracelet shop. They have really cute couple bracelets and my friend loved hers. And it's significant because you can wear the bracelets day to day and the leather looks awesome on guys and girls.
