It's my best friend's 15th birthday in a few days and I have no idea what to get her. I have a budget of about £25

For my frinds birthday (I'm 16) I got a large floral box (could be dotty, glittery, striped, whatever), lined it with couloured tissue paper and glitter and the put one 'main' present, wrapped, in the middle with loads of cute litte gifts all around. In the middle I put a large embroidered photo album that I ahd filled with memories (could be a glass photo frame, top/ shorts/ skirt she likes, underwear set, jewellery etc)
Then around it I put
-Key ring
-Cupcakes
-Sweets
-Nail varnish
-Lipbalm
-Mini notebook
-DVD
-Beaded bracelet
-Headband
-Embroidered mini pot for her room
-Bath bomb
-Mini body spray
-Funky socks

You could also put things like-
-Stationary-colourful pens/ pencils/ diary/ shaped rubbers/ sharpener etc
-Knickers/ scarf/ purse/ belt/ cluth bag
-Necklace/ earrings/ rings/ hair accessories-pins, slides, grips, bands, beads, clips
-Chocolate/ biscuits

Get a mall gift certificate of $20 per niece you can purchase them at customer service desk. For the older ones you can get a candles, or fruity body splashes and lotions at body works. Gift certificate to the local movie theater, restaurant gift certificate for two, a bottle of liquor lol. Hoop earrings, or take them to the mall and ask them to pick out something and treat them to lunch, that's bonding!!!

PS the catch with the credit cards gift certificates is that they have to pay an activation fee of the 6-9 dollars to even use the cards.

My sister has a really hard time thinking up gift ideas because she is very practical. She is not like normal teenage girls - she hates makeup, isn't into fashion things, and doesn't fawn over any celebrities. She enjoys writing, drawing, painting, singing, drumming, etc. She likes worship music - suggestions for any specific worship bands? Her favorite TV show is My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. She likes video games, but can't find any good ones (she hates violence/gore, language, etc.); her favorites are Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Halo Reach. Her favorite animal is a dog/wolf, her favorite authors are Robert Liparulo and Wayne Thomas Batson, and she really likes Scotland and Ireland (she nearly peed her pants when she watched Brave and saw Celtic Thunder in concert).

On a side note, do any of you have inspiration for my sister? She has at least 20 books right now, all ideas in progress, and would like inspiration. :)

Well she likes both Nintendo and Halo. Seems the best compatible idea in the video game department is the Wii U. Personally, I bought it and it is pretty interesting with the game pad and all. Plays all the Wii stuff too. Considering she already is in the hands of an xbox, this generally is up in the air. It does play CoD: Black Ops, Mass Effect, and Assassin's creed just like the Xbox and PS3 but then, they are violent. But then, so is Halo. The Wii U is pretty expensive, ranging from $300 to $350 dollars, tax not included. Also if your willing to buy a game with it, that too furthers the price on it.

Considering My Little Pony: FiM became pretty famous, the season 1 set is actually coming to DVD pretty soon. It is possible it may even be out now. Hot Topic is also supporting My Little Pony, having a ton of possible purchasable items regarding the show so you can get her some stuff there. Also Hot Topic sells video game related clothing there too, so if you find some of her favorites you can go there as well. Hot Topic is generally found in shopping malls, by the way.

If her favorite authors are Robert Liparulo and Wayne Thomas Batson, Then it is clear to get something that co-relates with them. Guess you'll have to do some research on what she has of them already.

As for the rest, I can't really think of anything relating to do with Scotland and Ireland. The movie Brave did already came out on DvD / Blu ray. So you could go pick that up too!

Try a antique shop or local flea market and find an old locket and you can put a picture in it. Perfume works great also. Roses are always good. A mix cd of her favorite songs or romantic songs. Dinner is cool too.

I went to Starbucks and got a lot of really cute things. I've seen a lot of really cute and inexpensive boxed jewelry at Fred Meyer stores. I bought my niece for her birthday at Trader Joes these French Truffles and her mom a cute little box of cookies from there and they loved them. Not sure where you are located but I love the store Ross and Kohls. They both have cute scarfs and beanie hats for super cheap you could pair up with some cookies or candy :)
