Friend turning 30, any birthday gift ideas?

Hope you can help me. I'm looking for a gift to give my friend. She's going to be turning 30 soon. We've known each other since high school, but I'm still not sure what I should get her. What's a good gift to give a 30 year old woman? Any ideas would be a big help.

P.S. If you give suggestions of a certain item, please add a favorite brand name. I'm really clueless when it comes to gift giving, so that would really help me out, too.

I think this is such a cute creative idea. I will be giving this as a gift to my boyfriend soon. You may go to Kinkos and give them a picture that both of you are in it. Then tell them to make it into a puzzle. Once you give it to her she would have to put the puzzle pieces together and it will come out to be a picture of you guys. I think its a very cute idea but I think this wouldnt be enough since you two have been friends since high school. You may go to a spa and buy 1 spa session for her or she could get a facial done.

Okay, my bestest friend since first grade is going to be fifteen this weekend [yay] && I can't think of what to get her! Here's my idea:

Get her fifteen balloons, bake her fifteen cookies, get her a abercrombie shirt, a hollister shirt&a victoria secret pink shirt, with a card of course.

See, I can't spend very much. && plus it's almost christmas and she's going to get a christmas present from me, and i'm getting her brother a birthday present and him a christmas present and it all kinda adds up in the end. So should I just get her that?? any other ideas would be nice! thanks!
Kay, yeahh see I'm in something called highschool. no one EVER decorates lockers. hence the fact me giving her one balloon at school, because balloons are the new things. decorating lockers was so last year.

your idea is good! those three shirts are actually very generous, and with the balloons and cookies you have a personal, fun idea. Maybe continue the 15 theme... fifteen little things, like lipglosses, candy she likes, a mixed CD made by you with 15 songs, etc. Kind of like a stocking!

Instead of the shirts, you could do a mall gift card and in the card, invite her shopping.

It's my best friends birthday and I need gift ideas. He's a guy so it's a bit more difficult. I was thinking a book but I need some ideas. He likes some books of Chuck Plahniuk, He recently finished Percy Jackson as well as Bloodsucking Fiends by Christopher Moore. I need some ideas.

The first and last are somewhat grim, but the middle two are somewhat comic in their own ways.

Best friends birthday gift. I want to take her 23 favorite things and make it into a gift for her 23rd birthday. I wanted to make it cute and creative but not like i just threw it together. Any ideas?

I tried to do something like that for my BFF on her 17th b'day. I took a decorated basket and filled it with a nice black dress, matching heels, nail paints, manicure kit, bracelets, lenses, earrings, a herbal beauty kit n stuff. She loved it!!
