What I like to do when ever I'm buying a present for younger child is to shop relatively cheap, that way you can get them more things, most children are too young to really understand or be offended by the price of their gift. I like to go to like a dollar store or a dollar general, and I take how ever much money I have and spend it all on toys like magnetic dart boards, planes, nerf footballs, things along those lines. Usually I throw in a bag of candy with their gift. This way when the child opens his gift it will seem like he's getting lots of things and you can do that all on a small budget! suggesting alcohol for a child even in joke is out of order. my question was genuine. His parents have split up and his mother has frankly moved him away from out of his comfort zone so he is not really a very happy little boy at the moment

I am in high school and have my boyfriend who i have been with for a year now . His family is really nice to me and like me a lot. I'm pretty sure his sister and parents got me something, good ideas? They are a hispanic family , mom's stay at home and likes knickknacks , dad ,a trucker , sister, a mom , nephew,9 year old boy and he has a brother and gf and i haven't got to know them well but maybe something for them together?

I like to have my xmas shopping done by the end of October. I know it's early but it gives me more time for enjoying the holidays in November/December if I have it all done.

This will be the first year my little guy knows what Santa is, and our first year writing a letter. I'd like to get him a gift that he will go bananas over, but can't seem to find anything for his age that he would be super excited to get.

I havnt even started christmas shopping yet, their tastes change way too quick to start that now, but for my three year old daughter, we usually get the kids one larger toy and a few small ones, this year we were thinking about getting her a doll house with some dolls and then as smaller things little toys like small stuffed animals, clothes for her other dolls, some clothes for herself, that kind of thing. When our five year old was three, we got her a sandbox, For a boy, who may not be interested in a doll house, when my boys, who are now 9 and 7, were three their big presents were a big kid bicycle with training wheels for my now 9 year old and a swing set for my now 7 year old. Luckily our landlord in our apartment building is a very nice guy who let us put the swings in the yard, under the condition that the other kids could use them, and the sandbox on the roof (it has a fence so no one can fall off and theres a little raised garden and sitting area up there). They all flipped over their gifts.

my buddy has a 9 year old girl a 4 and 2 year old boy. now his wife and him are spending about $350 on each kid. Plus getting other presents from other family members which would probably be toys or clothes. I wanna get them something they could need in the future like a savings bond or an interest increasin savings account. Yet i don't really want bond because they are worthless and i don't wanna open savings accounts for someone elses kids. Please some 1 give me some ideas!

Personally I think Savings bonds are a great idea. My parents got me one every year as a Christmas gift and when I got older I used the money towards my first car.

What shoe size would a filipino boy where?

What size shoe would a 10 year old filipino boy wear? We need to buy school shoes for our soon to be adoptive son and we don't even know how big he is. So I'm wondering what the average shoe size would be for his age. Please don't answer for other races, just filipino. And please specify what sizing system (us, european, etc.)

Good day.

My nephew is just turning 10 this October and his shoe size is 7(US) or 6(UK).
During Christmas times some orphanned kids from the orphanage spends the holiday with us. Some of the boys are 10 year old kids and some of them we buy some shoes (the gifts we gives depends on the children wishes, we asks the nuns who run the orphanage or asks the kids directly). On my experience most of the "pure" filipino kids between 9 to 10 have the average shoe size between 5 to 7(US sizes).
Based on my experiences, ethnicity, social status of the family where the child belongs, genes, nutrition plays an important role in determining the size of the feet (hypothetically speaking) of a child.
My nephew came from a well-off family, maybe that explain he has bigger feet. And those kids who "visited" us every christmas are not well fed during the early years, so most of them has smaller feet (except some who have western father that left them before they were born).
On my conclusion, most Filipino have 5.5 to 6.5(US) average shoe sizes. If the filipino kid you are about to adapt came from a poor family background it is safe to say (based on my experience) that he is about 6(if slightly higher for his family background), If he is well fed.

My daughter turns one on November 30th. She has a playroom so we are trying to get her things to put in it... We plan on getting her a play kitchen set, play food, a shopping cart, her first doll & a play laptop. As well as a few other items & some clothes. With her birthday and Christmas being so close together... we plan on buying all her gifts at one time and then splitting them up between Christmas & her birthday.
