gift basket ideas for 13 going on thirty?

Q. I need ideas for a gift basket I plan to put together for a friends b-day. I'm planning on putting razzles along with the movie, but need more ideas.

A. Pampering Gift Ideas
Bath Salts, Bath Bombs, Body Scrub, Love Coupons, Mother's Day Coupons, scented soaps, massage oil, bubble bath, loofah, flannel, nail polish (with toe separators), candles, massage roller, eye mask, microwave heat-wheat bag

Coffee Lovers
Selection of gourmet coffees, chocolate-coated coffee beans, coffee candy, coffee and walnut cake, and dark chocolate (for the caffeine hit). You could bake cookies to go with coffee (e.g. Italian Biscotti). You could also add a coffee mug, and present on a tray.

Girl's Night In
Make a pamper hamper full of girly treats for the perfect girls night in! Include nail polish, hand cream, face mask, romantic comedy DVD or a girly book or magazine, popcorn, chocolate brittle and other indulgent treats! This is a great homemade gift basket idea for sisters and close girl friends.

Boy's Night In
Stock your hamper with a few beers and some savory treats like nuts, crisps, salsa, and popcorn. Include computer games or an action DVD to watch, or a pack of cards and poker chips, or board games.

Chocolate-lovers
Don't hold back, anything chocolate is perfect for this homemade gift basket idea! Hot chocolate to drink, blocks of chocolate, homemade truffles, chocolate brittle, chocolate biscuits, chocolate cupcakes, chocolate brownies (or brownies in a jar that they can make up later!), chocolate spread (nutella or similar), and anything else chocolatey you can think of!

Homemade Christmas Gift Baskets
Any sort of Christmas or winter-themed foods will be perfect for this basket! eg. Christmas pudding, Christmas cake, homemade jam, homemade chutney, homemade biscuits, Christmas crackers, spiced nuts, homemade mince pies, homemade flavored alcohol (eg. sloe gin, raspberry vodka), wine or port, mulled wine sachets, drinking chocolate, homemade chocolate truffles, after dinner mints, any sort of gifts in a jar that they can make up themselves (eg cookies in a jar, brownies in a jar, soup in a jar)

are gift baskets a good gift for home buyers and homesellers?
Q. friend is in real estate and is trying to come up with a way to thank the clients for buying or selling a house. i suggested gift baskets with coffee mugs, and home items plus gift cards to places like home depot or lowes.. he could even already have the gift basket in the home after closing.

we couldnt come up with anything for sellers... any ideas?
any thoughts about the gift basket idea?

A. it sounds good for both seller & buyer, good ideal. i leave for my new renters t.paper, toilet brush, paper towels coupons for cable.pizza.

What are some good gift basket ideas to raffle off at fundraiser?
Q. I am putting together a fundraiser for my daughters soccer team and I am in charge of basket ideas. We are raffling off a ton of baskets like a wine baskets and kids baskets... but i need some more ideas please! Anything will help!

A. Ask local businesses to contribute products or gift certificates to the basket to raise money for the cause. Offer to give out their cards and make their generosity known to ticket buyers. A theater may offer two free tickets, a massage therapist might offer a free session, a local coffeehouse could provide a bag of a popular blend or a mug. All those small things together in a basket can amount to one really great prize for the lucky winner.
People love baskets full of items meant for pampering themselves. Women may like scented soaps, bath oils and salts, facial cleansers, nail polish or cosmetics. Men would enjoy soap on a rope, shaving gels, aftershave lotions, a shaving kit and extra razors. Baskets can also include fluffy washcloths and towels, incense or potpourri, candles, natural sea sponges, a pumice stone, a manicure kit, shampoo and conditioner.

HOPE THIS HELPED ;)

How to prepare an 18 month old boy for....!!!?
Q. I was wondering...How do I attempt to prepare my 18 month old son for a little sister (Who could come at any moment, I am 38 wks).. He's laid his head on my tummy, And I've told him 'Baby is in there' but I don't think he quite grasps it yet, He's also noticed another crib in his room, And has watched us fold and re-fold her clothes and what not, But I was wondering if maybe someone had some cute ideas to maybe help him further understand...Also - was wondering...

I have an 8 year old boy, and an 18 month old boy, I was wondering what a cute 'gift' from the new baby would be for the both of them! :-)

Thanks bunches in advance!!!

A. He is a bit young to grasp the idea. He will fully grasp it once the baby arrives and is not getting the same amount of attention he once had. Prepare for some regression. He will probably be very jealous of the baby because was the center of your world for a long time and he then has to share you. He may start to feel powerless. Make sure, when your daughter arrives, you take time everyday to show you're love. When she is sleeping, read him a story, play a game, and things that show he is the "big boy" (he can help mommy with things, help with the baby...getting a diaper, let him pick out baby's outfit...).

Help him to feel powerful by saying things like "You did that by yourself. Look how high you can climb! You used so many colors on your picture!" Let him know that you notice him. This is a great way to show attention and love and help him to feel powerful and confident. If he keeps getting messages like these, he ease into this easily.

A great gift from the baby would be some “Big Brother” t-shirts. You can also get the little one some books so he has a better idea on what to expect before the baby comes home. My New Baby-Annie Kubler Waiting for Baby-Annie Kubler The New Baby at Your House-Joanna Cole The New Baby-Fred Rogers are some good ones. Best of luck to you and congratulations!
