I'm a teenage girl with a girlfriend, we haven't been dating long, but I need to get her something for xmas ?
Q. what should I get her :0 !? any ideas :) ?

A. If you have not been dating long the gift should not be too costly. It would be sweet to give her the softest, fuzziest socks to warm her feet. Any of the soft fleece stuff would be nice. I also like the idea of a holiday ornament or decoration with 2010 on it. If the relationship lasts it will be a keepsake. Relax and have fun shopping, she'll love whatever you give her, I promise!

Help with decorating my bedroom?
Q. For Christmas I want to get some things for my bedroom so that it will look less little kiddish. I am thinking that I want to do a pink and white or ivory themed room. I don't exactly have a favorite color, if I do it changes a lot. So I guess I just want some help thinking of accessories for my bedroom. The duvet I am pretty sure that I want is the PBteen dark pink damask duvet cover and shams. I also wanted to get the ruffle quilt shams. I will just use the sheet set I have now, white. Please do not suggest anything expensive. The stores I would like things from that are close to me are Target, Walmart, and for an online store, PBteen. Thanks!

A. Make a list and blue prints of what you want and what the prices are.
You can ask for this for your Xmas gift but don't buy anything until after Xmas when everything will be on sale.http://www.flickr.com/photos/8230585@N06/3348926997/
Use a light pink instead of a hot pink to make your room more relaxing and sophisticated .
This one uses a bit of hot pink and is great :http://rafirafi.com/2010/01/pink-and-white-home-decor-ideas-by-trend-designs/pink-and-white-bedroom-interior-ideas/
Have fun decorating.

What are some good homemade Christmas gifts?

Q. I'm running low on money this year, so I decided to try and make gifts for people. I'm looking for gift ideas for my friends and my mom and dad. I'm 15 so it can't be anything to childish, but it has to be something I can actually do by Christmas. Any ideas?
Thanks!

A. Make a laminated bookmark: find pictures or photos that they would like - animals, sports, flowers, favorite band, hearts, cars, pictures of family or you two - it can be a few small pics or just one, glue it to construction paper (you can make it two-sided), make sure you know how wide you want it to be before you start with the glue, then take it to Staples/Office Max, Office Depot or a store like that and get it laminated, then cut it. After hole-punch the top and put a ribbon or twine of some kind through the hole and tie it in a knot.

Make a 'love jar' and fill it with origami hearts, flowers and slips of paper with notes of appreciation written on them or 'I love you' written in different languages (on the back write which language it is).

Say I love you in different languages

Use an empty jar or soup can to make a pen/pencil holders - take the label off and wrap them in fabric or colored paper and decorate them with pictures the two of you or other pictures they would like.

Gift ideas for my boyfriend for Valentines day?
Q. My boyfriend and I have been dating for almost 7 months and since valentines day is soon I need help with gift ideas. Hes probably spending $100 on me but i don't know what to get him! I'm only in high school so just keep that in mind.

A. Make a heart or a rose (or make a bunch and fill a love jar with a love note included)

This is an idea for kids to make, but can be used by adults as well:

Laminate a photo of the two of you, made into a bookmark - so it can be a few small pics or just one, glue it to construction paper with hearts, then hole punch the top and put a ribbon of some kind through the hole and tie it off.

Make cookies:
Quick Banana Chocolate Chip Bars
1 Medium Ripe Banana, peeled
1 Cup Whole Wheat Flour
¾ Cup Brown Sugar, packed
1 Teaspoon Baking Powder
½ Teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
¼ Teaspoon Salt
1/3 Cup Olive or Vegetable Oil
2 Tablespoons Milk
1 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Egg
¼ Cup Chopped Nuts
½ Cup Chocolate Chips (or what feels good)

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray small rectangular or 9x9 square baking pan with non-stick spray.

Chop or mash banana. Combine with flour, brown sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, salt, oil, milk, vanilla and egg in large bowl. Stir in nuts and chocolate chips to this mixture OR save them to add as topping, sprinkling on top of mixture after poured into the pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes.

Isabellas (Oatmeal Cookies)

1 cup butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 1/4 cups flour
1 1/2 cups oats
Dash salt, optional
Powdered Sugar

Cream butter and sugar until light. Mix in vanilla, then flour, oats and salt. Chill thoroughly. Shape into small balls and place 2 inches apart on an ungreased baking sheet. Flatten with a fork, crisscrossing. Bake at 350 degrees for 12-18 minutes (depending on your oven). Sprinkle with Powdered Sugar

What gift should I get for my boyfriend of three years for christmas?
Q. Me and my boyfriend have been dating for three years now. I have no idea what to get him for Chirstmas! I really want it to be something special, I am leaning more for something sentimental with another item he'd appreciate. Over the years I have bought him every kind of clothing item so I want to stay away from that. He really has everything he needs. We are 18 and he is going to college to become a civil engineer. He is really into sports. He loves the Lakers and the Packers. I also want to just be sexy for him but not sure what I should do. Any suggestions will help. Thanks!

A. Congrats on your 3 years! For boyfriends I think it's always good to pick one thing from a hobby they like, an accompany it by something meaningful like you stated. So if his hobby is sports, then I would say get him something related to sports. It doesn't have to be something expensive like an authentic jersey or a signed ball or something like that. But maybe a neat little "toy". Or you could get him a warm laker's blanket (I've seen those for sale a lot at different stores for around $20), and you can stick a note on that saying something about it beig used so he can combine his two favorites: cuddling with his girlfriend, and the lakers! And you can accompany that gift with a "love coupon book" or a jar filled with love coupons. They don't HAVE to be sex related, they can be of anything you want.
For instance, for my BF I bought a large jar and filled it with basket grass, candies, and little coupons I made. Some of the coupons were: "A day at a theme park of your choice" "A romantic dinner" "a breakfast/dinner made by me" "50 kisses" "a romantic getaway weekend" and then the rest were more intimate, you can be creative! If you would like me to send you any of the coupons I would be glad to share them, I love doing graphic design so I actually made these myself, they look cute and have a shadow couple kissing and hearts floating up.

You could also make a basket filled with different small items. It could be items that represent everything that has happened between you two in the 3 years. And example of one item would be if you met at Starbucks, include something from there, or if he asked you out at the beach then purchase a small little jar from a craft store and fill it with sand and a love note. Or you could put in the basket things he likes that you've learned in the 3 years to let him know you have been paying attention. And you can also include things he will need for when he goes to college, like a pocket planner or some nice pens.

It also really depends what you're budget is, I'm listing things that would be on the "cheaper" side just to be safe. But if you have the money you can accompany any of the above with a nice watch. Or it doesn't even have to be the nice expensive ones, there's several on sale at amazon for $100 or under and they're decent. For some guys (not all) watched make them feel more "manly" or "grown up", it's kind of silly but I guess they get that from the movies like James bond! Haha.

I really don't know what you're relationship is like, and I would hate to advise you into more intimate gifts if you're not doing that already, and you shouldn't feel pressure to do so, heck I didn't get intimate till' I was 20, I made him wait haha. So I'll stay away from those suggestions.

A neat thing to make if you want to get crafty is a moving photo cube. It's difficult to explain but you could try googling it or youtubing it. It's basically a large cube made of smaller cubes taped together a certain way with pictures glued on each to make a large picture on each face of the cube. But you can open the cube in half and it reveals different pictures, and open it in half sideways and it reveals different pictures. It's like a total of 10 pictures.
